Hey, I was self pay initially, ins. did kick in though in the end and paid
over half my hospital bill. Regardless of that though, had I had to pay
everything it would have come up to approx. 13.8K. I went to Salt Lake
City, Utah, Rocky Mountain Assoc. Physcians(1-800-999-9970). They have an
excellent group of surgeons. My up front fees were, 5300 for surgeon fees,
and at the hospital 4500(approx. half of total bill). They were to bill me
the rest later. I did get a summary of the bill about 3months post. So even
if my ins. hadn't paid the last part, I had 3months to come up with the
rest. Oh and I believe the hospital had a payment plan that you could do
too. Good luck!

Please check out Dr. Rutledge. Hospital time is very short and the total
cost Doctor, hospital, anesthesia is approx $ 12,000 - $17,000. Dr
Rutledge and the hospital give a discount if you pay in cash up front.
He has very good results from his surgery and your stay is the hospital is
usally 1-2 days.

I had no trouble finding surgeons who were willing to take my self-payment,
once I could prove that I could pay!
