Don't forget that fruit and particularly fruit juices are very high in calories. I wasn't warned about fruit juices as an early post-op, my surgeon reccomended them, and I later found out this was the reason for having slowly dropped weight the first few weeks, when most people drop ALOT of weight. Be VERY careful about keeping an eye on calories from fruit and fruit juices. I was adding half a banana to my protein drinks until I figured out that I was adding alot of extra calories to my daily diet by doing so. Also, milk and milk products do have natural sugars in them, which can be empty calories.
