HI, I had the MGB 5/15/00 and I would highly recommend this procedure. I post to this site if you want to read my adventures (!). At my 1 month check-up (6/15/00) I had lost 43 lbs!!!! I feel great and I had very little discomfort from the surgery. I was out of the hospital in 24 hours and I was walking the halls of the hospital hours after the surgery. I had the MGB done in March by Dr.Rutledge. I have since lost 51 pounds. Even though my weight loss is less than average because I am a previous WLS patient 20 years ago,I am very pleased with my results so far. This proceedure was the best thing to ever happen to me.
