Question:
Can these tubes come out on their own? 7 days post-op, & it looks loose.

My tube on the inside was quite long maybe 8-10" (which was white
with perforations and I recall smaller and stiffer tube than the outside
tube) and the outside tube was about 4" (which was sort of light red
in color and rubbery with a cap)..Yes, it was somewhat loose, but trust me
when it comes out you'll know it.. Not that it hurts, it does not!!
It's just a tug and a pull by your surgeon and it's out..

HI! just wanted to add my two cents worth... I had my RNY October 14,
1999... also had a tube for a couple of weeks post op; I too thought it was
going to just fall out... (so to speak) but when my dr. pulled it out... I
found that there was no way it could have fell out without some help;
meaning that there are two or three little ball shaped stoppers that hold
this tube in --- if you yanked really hard you could get this tube out...
but it won't come out with normal wear... BEST WISHES!
