Question:
My Surgery date is 3/15
As I'm aproaching my surgery date 3/15...I'm having doubts but know I need to have this surgery. I'm wondering if everyone who has had this surgery has felt this way too before. I just need some support and prayers...thanks WLS support group..you guys have been great!!!! I couldn't have made it this far without you and have met some wonderful freinds. — Sue Q. You will always be in our hearts and prayer. Everyone has these doubts,
but, I can tell you after having the surgery on the 18th of Feb. I am back
to work. This was my first day back. The pain was definitly worth it.

Hi Sue: Yes, we ALL have those feelings, wondering whether we're doing the
right thing, worrying about complications, concerned over the outcome and
what it will mean to us for the rest of our lives. For me, having WLS was
one of the best decisions I ever made. I feel so much better. I know I
will live a happier life for having it done. My 9 year old daughter can
put her arms completely around me when she hugs me! I love that! Try and
take some time for yourself before the surgery. Relax, take some deep
breaths, and pray if you're so inclined. I'll be praying for you, your
doctors and nurses. God bless. Jaye Carl, RN, open proximal (divided) RNY

Sue, If you did not have doubts then I would worry. Yes, having doubts and
being scared are very normal feelings prior to surgery. I had the same
feelings. I am so glad that I had surgery and I know you will to when it
is all over. I hope the surgery and recovery are fine with you. Good
luck!!!!!!!
