I became incontinent as a result of the delivery of my first baby. It did
get worse over the years as I gained more and more weight. Now, 5+months
after surgery, I still have it but I do think it is not as bad as before.
I do still wear pads. I hope to have a procedure in the future to fix it.
Of course, I have to wait to get the weight off first.

I was told by one surgeon who examined me that I would eventually need
surgery to correct my urinary incontinence but he advised me to wait a few
years (he assured me it would get worse!)until it was bad enough that pads
no longer provided adequate protection.
Now woth 120 pounds gone I find the problem has all but vanished. If I
wait too long I can still get into trouble but the random leaks from coughs
and laughter and hiccups etc. cause no problem and I don't even need the
pads anymore.
I had trouble with incontinence at the "other end" as well
unfortunately and that too has abated completely (even though you didn't
ask here)Firmer, less frequent BM's, which are common for WLS patients, are
a huge improvement for this additional incontinence problem.
