Question:
Where to buy a binder?
General consensus seems to be that people liked their binders (right?). My doc doesn't use them. Anyone want to sell theirs? (why buy a new one - they're not like wedding dresses, why wear it only once!!!!!) — Toni B. (posted on February 17, 2000)

Maybe your Dr can write you a prescription for a binder then get it filled
at a medical supply co.through your insurance

Someone at our support meeting the other day said instead of using a binder
to wear a one-piece swimsuit. She said it works great. Good luck.

I bought a binder for my hysterectomy, and my insurance company paid for it
with the physician's prescription. Just take the prescription to the
medical supply store, and they'll give/order you one and bill your
insurance company. It didn't cost me a dime.

The binders they are referring to are the same thing that they have
pregnant women wear when their bellies get large and uncomfortable. My
sister is 7 months pregnant and has one. She bought it at a maternity
store. It cost about $30, however, her insurance covered it. Our insurance
might as well. I have to check with my doctor.
