Question:
after RNY distal can one every drink a glass of water all at once?

After 5 + yrs, no. Yes. I can drink a whole glass of water. But I cannot GUZZLE it.

I was told by my dr. that the one and only time a patient of his had a staple line disruption was when they guzzled a full glass of water. So please be careful. I can take a fairly good sized drink now, but no gulping...it hurts!
