Question:
Has anyone had the WLS with it being an exclusioun on your plan?

I work for the state of ca. They offer Blue Cross Prudent buyer plan. it has an exclusion for WLS. I want to know if anyone came across this obstacle. And how long it took to overcome it.    — jade L. (posted on September 27, 1999)

I have Teamcare (Teamsters). They have this surgery as an exclusion I had a hiatle hernia and an umbilical hernia bothering me also My doctor took $1500 for his fee plus what the insurance would cover for the hernia repair. The entire hospital bill was paid for by insurance under the hernia repairs. I am 1 year post-op and down 150 lbs. I feel great.
