Question:
Trying to start a support group/upstate NY

I live in the Saratoga Springs area of NY and had lap gastric bypass on July 12th. I would like to start a support group in this area. If anyone is interested please email me and/or answer here. Thanks!    — terri S. (posted on September 20, 1999)

Hi Terry, I live in your area and we have a support group at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. It is held the first Monday of each month. It is held down stairs in the cafeteria. If you would like to attend, let me know.Maybe we can ride over together. I had my surgery by Doctor Lirio and have lost 115 pounds.

Goodmorning Terri, Congrats !! on your surgery!! I think a support group in the Saratoga area is a great idea! I run a bypass support group for Dr. Lirio who is based in Schenectady. Our group meets at Ellis Hospital Cafeteria (how ironic) the first Monday of each month. Everyone is welcome, and if you would like to come we would love to meet you. Hi Terri. I know there is a Support Group Meeting in Middletown, NY. It meets I think twice a month sometimes and it it held on Crystal Run Road at the Horton Rehab Center in Middletown, NY. 845-695-8731 I think they start at around 7:15 pm
