You know the drill. Go back to basics, keep track of what you eat on fitday.com, resume exercising. No need to freak out, just getting moving. Best of luck. Kasey 365/215/195 (nonop)

Pouch Rules for Dummies is on the web and it should really help you if you follow what it says. It is for WLS patients who are past the 1 year mark. You can do this!! Good luck!!!! Lezlie :) http://www.wlsfriends.com/pouchrules.html

Some weight gain is expected 3 - 4 years out. Besides basics, I would talk to surgeon and see what he/she thinks is normal for you.

I used the south Beach diet combined with the "pouch rules for dummies" principles to lose the 20 I gained at 4 years post-op. Kick the refined carbs and stick w/ dense protein to fill you up.

You already know the answer: watch what you eat (More protein, few carbs), and exercise daily. I would suggest you tape a picture of you at your heaviest and one at your lightest to your refrigerator door, your snack cabinets, and anywhere else you can see it and be reminded. I have heard that most people do gain a little. However, if you are eating the wrong foods and not exercising, that gives you something to work on!

I also am 3+ years post op, and have gained about 25 lbs...so this is good for me to look at so I can get back on the ball

I havent gained any weight, but I still have not reached my goal. I started Weight Watchers last week and dropped 5 pounds! I think it just helps to remind me to eat what I should and what it healthy for me, rather than mexican food! lol Also, I entered into a weight loss competition with friends (ala the Biggest Loser) and we have $400.00 in the pot. That is a motivation because I can buy a heck of a lot of clothes with that $400.00!!!! We have to do whatever we have to do to reach our goals. You just have to find what will motivate you. I am competative - so this competition is working for me and weightwatcher is reminding me what I am supposed to eat. Best of luck!
