Has anyone in TX with Cigna been approved for the lap band surgery?

i dont know if it matters the state as long as it is the same health insurance and criteria. i had cigna about 2 1/2 yrs ago and they approved my RNY Laprascopic Bypass surgery. I only had to pay $150 at the day of the surgery. It only took them 7 days (if that) to approve me. NEVER any problems. I had the PPO plan or was it the POS plan at the time. I didnt have their HMO plan. I was advised, beforehand, that the PPO & POS plans are easier to approve the surgery SOONER w/o any hassle. I didnt have to go through any hurdles or anything. I was 265lbs, 23 yrs old, 5'0 ft tall, w/ 2 co-morbidities. hope this helps.
