Question:
Dair v. Non-Dairy Protein Drinks: Has anyone tested whether or not they actually
GAIN weight using a protein drink which you mix with milk instead of water? I have yet to find a protein drink I can tolerate other than Spirutein (found at GNC) which is mixed with milk. I do not want to gain weight from mixing with milk, and am wondering if anyone has actually experienced a weight gain from protein drinks because of mixing them with milk. — Esse (posted on July 21, 2004)

When I was using protein shakes, I only used ones mixed with skim milk. It
never interfered with my weight loss. I reached below goal in 1 year,
losing 120 pounds. As a matter of fact, I would use 2 scoops of powder wit
the skim milk for the extra protein boost.

I can't tolerate anything mixed with milk, even though I wasn't lactose
intolerant as pre-op.
