Question:
I have an appt with the nutrionist as required by my insurance.
What can i expect at this visit? Also, can approval be denied by what she submits??? If yes, am i to be "completely" honest in every question asked? — Sharee *. (posted on March 13, 2004)

HTe concult with the nutrionist is simple. They watn to kow how yo ueat so
that they can help you leran to eat right after the surgery. THey will ask
you to write doen your daily intake for a few weeks. Then you will start to
eat every three hours and write that down and turn it in. THe next thing
they will have you truely pratice the food plan that you will have to strat
doing after surgery. I felt that this gave me a higher chance of success
after surgery than others. I saw my nutrionist for a few months but it was
worth it. I hope you find it worthwhile.
God Bless

Hi Sharee,
I too was afraid of this appointment but it was easy. She just went over
the surgery alittle, and explained the way I woud be eating for the next
six months. All she's going to do is write that you talked about all the
required areas that need to be discussed. Don't worry about it at all. My
biggest concern is the phycologist appointment. I'm worried he said
something that will give them reason to deny. Best of luck
