Question:
Has Anyone Had Surgery Through UHC EPO (TN) Lately?

I am having such a difficult time learning which department the paperwork is supposed to be reviewed in. I try to call once per day. Sometimes Cust. Serv. says my paperwork needs to be in Care Coord. and vice-versa. Then, they finally tell me that I need to have my surgeon call Care Coord. and they could give him an instant approval right over the phone??? This is very frustrating considering my surgeon's bariatric coordinater is terrible. He is a wonderful surgeon, but would probally have more patients if he would replace her. So, it is kind of a lose-lose situation I am in right now...HELP!    — Brandi C. (posted on February 20, 2004)

I have UHC ppo and they did give my surgeon approval over the phone in two days!! The doctors office couldn't believe it. I had my surgery two weeks later. Good luck.
