Hello: I have a terrible time with my blood sugar crashing if I eat just a
couple of bites too much. My dr just told me to carry hard candy in my
purse and when I feel it coming on, just eat a couple of pieces of candy.

I saw someone post on the board that they drink a protein shake right
before going to bed to prevent low blood sugar during the night

Many of us find that peanut butter on a "cheap" carb, like white
bread or cracker is the fastest fix. I can't carry them everywhere, so I
carry glucose tablets. I can get them down if I need to, but they are not
nummy enough to snack on. BUt I will say that the PB + carb seems to work
faster to stabilize than the glucose tabs. That makes NO sense to me,
that's just what works.

My surgeon's office told me that spreading my protein evenly throughout the
day helped with low blood sugars. Works for me.
