Question:
Anyone try Carb Countdown?

I just recently found this in my Dairy section of the grocery store and it isn't sweet, very mild, and so good. It has 100 calories for 1 cup, 3 carbs, 2 sugars and 12 grams protein! I drink it everymorning for breakfast because I am not a big breakfast eater. Definately worth a try if your looking! It is Atkins approved, not that I really follow that plan, but it does taste great! Open RNY 09/30/02 down 176 pounds at goal of 140.    — EMN (posted on January 9, 2004)

I have tried this and agree that it tastes pretty good (and I don't like milk). It is available in GA at Wal-mart and Publix.

Hi Ellen... I LOVE the carb countdown chocolate milk. I use it to mix with my protien powder for the extra vitamins and extra protien, because I hate breakfast too. This gives me at least 40 grams of protien first thing in the morning. The dairy man at walmart told me at first it would not sell, now they cannot keep it on the shelf fast enough. I buy 1/2 gallon and it lasts me over a week (if I can keep my kids out of it... lol). Seems to be a huge hit with most of us post-ops. Lisa A lap RNY 5/13/03 291/166/140

Love it! Shoprite has it on sale this week 1/2 price. Get it while it lasts. I cannot believe how awesome this stuff is!

I found the chocolate delicious but terribly rich and thick (!) so I make a Chocolate Covered Cherry shake with one cup chocolate Carb Countdown, one cup water, and one scoop Very Cherry Berry from Nectar. I use the mixer and chop up some ice and it takes me an hour to drink, but it is one full meal for me and I'm not hungry for hours. I'm going to try the Reglar Carb Countdown with some of the other shake flavors I have. I keep experimenting; some are keepers, some are not. My fav is still Chocolate Stack with one tablespoon DaVinci English Toffee syrup per scoop. Just wonderful. Nina in Maine

I drink it every morning as my breakfast. I love it! It's between $2.50-$3.00 though. I buy mine at Super Wal-Mart or Meijer stores. The chocolate is pretty thick, I often mix if with the fat free variety.

I love it!!! I have replaced my protein drink wiht the fatfree version. I drink 3 cups a day = 36 grams protein and only 210 calories. It is so much less expensive than the protein drinks and I am getting in my calcium without supplements. Another bonus, I don't know if it is the Carb Countdwon or not, but my weight los seems to have stepped up since I switched the the carb countdown.

I also love this milk and can't drink it fast enough so I put it in small water bottles and freeze it. I freezes really well and I just take out a couple each night and let it thaw in the refrigerator. Hope this helps. Hugs;
