Question:
I have not had a weight loss in 6 weeks. Please help?!?
I am 8 months out from lap-rny and am down 67 lbs. I have not lost anything for about 6 weeks now. I understand that the holidays played a part because I did nibble a bit. I would like to lose another 30 lbs to meet my goal by May 5 which is my 1 year anniversary. I have upped my water and protein and have been walking a little more. Any other suggestions to jump start this? — Wendy S. (posted on January 7, 2004)

Yes, upping your water and protein are all good. Please make sure you keep
carbs in check too. Try this for a week and see if you have any movement.
If not, often, when a person gets stuck for a long time, they will consider
going back through the post-surgical food stages. For example, start again
by going back to stage 1 for 2 days (clear liquids only) then 2 days on
stage 2 (full liquids), 2 more days on stage 3 (pureed foods for some, soft
for others), etc, etc. This may help you. Good luck to you!

I'd track on fitday.com and make sure you are eating more protein than
carbs. Also make sure you are at 3 hours of cardio a week. Joining a gym
will make the pounds go away faster too.

Make sure you are eating right. At the same time understand that we can hit
plateaus. I had a 2.5 mo plateau which started at 7.5 mos. I always ate
right, then out of no where the weight started dropping again. I also lost
2 dress sizes during that plateau. It's discouraging - but hang in there!!
The only suggestion I have if you are eating right is to excerize more.
