Question:
Can you buy Sugar Free Tang or is there something else like it?

I used to make this really good spiced hot tea with Tang, instant tea and spices. Then you would add a few spoonfuls to a hot cup of water and it was delicious. I've been looking for Tang and can't find even the regular anymore.I was thinking I remembered there being a sugar free Tang. Does anyone know if they still make it or is there something else that would taste kind of like it. I want something hot to drink besides hot chocolate this winter.I like the nice spicy taste and know I could make it with decaf tea and Splenda if I could just find the SF Tang.    — cfstevens (posted on December 13, 2003)

There is sugar free tang, not all stores carry it though. I would ask at your stores to see which one does carry it and which isle it is in because I have noticed all stores here have it in weird places.....lol Good Luck!

Hello! Yes, there is sugar-free Tang, but it can be hard to find. I know here in Michigan that some Kroger stores carry it, but others do not. Around here, the Meijer stores carry it. As for the hot tea, I have a phenomenal recipe for the orange spice tea. My mom used to make it with regular Tang and I adapted it, using sugar-free Tang, unsweetened decaf tea, Splenda (or fructose), nutmeg, cinnamon, and a package of regular unsweetened lemonade (Wyler's or KoolAid). It is sooooooooooooooo good! If you want the recipe, let me know.

I would love the tang/spiced tea recipe that was offered by Lynette. I just went into her profile to e-mail her directly, it said that she didn't have a profile. If Lynette is out there, could you please post it? Thanks..MJ

Cheryl I notice you live in Texas HEB carries it usually on the top shelf where the crystal lite is and if not fill our a customer request card for it. It is a regular stock item in our store also try the wyler's line of sugar free lemon aid and raspberry I often mix them 1/2 + 1/2 a really great drink. Wyler lemonaide is the best sugar free one I have ever had. Alpine makes a great spiced cider sugar free that you can drink as is or sometimes I add to a cup of hot tea.

I have found SF Tang at Wal-Mart. It is also by the Crystal Light and the Kool-Aids. At our local store, it is not right next to the regular Tang on the shelf, it was on the shelf above it and it is in a container the size that the Crystal Light comes in. At first I didn't see it.

I am completely addicted to SF Tang. I love it to the point that I panick if I get too low. Most of the grocery stores in my area carry it (but not any of the Walmarts). It is usually near the Kool Aids or the Crystal Lites. It's not in the big tub like the regular Tang though. It comes in the containers like the Crystal Lite powders. I think the spiced tea sounds wonderful. I am definitely going to try that especially now that the weater has gotten cold!! Good luck finding it! :) Michelle 270/189/130

Thank you all so much for your suggestions. I went shopping this afternoon and the little WalMart didn't have it, so I'll try the Super WalMart or the big Kroger. I know it has to be somewhere in a town the size of Houston. If I can't find it soon, I'll just order it online. Can't wait to try this again!!!
