girl...I am in the same place as you. I have not been to the gym in over a
month and I am only 16 pounds from my goal. Read my profile if you want to.
I tell you one thing that almost has me out the door. Look at
www.bodychangers.com and see the before and after pics under
"interviews" sure to motivate the laziest!

well.. I started at 372.. I'm about 197 today.. and still slowly losing --
I'm mostly motivated, though I don't know how to bottle it and send it
out.. *grin* but.. here's what I do when I need that kick inthe
butt:
look at before and after pics here
try on clothing,
find tight stuff
go shopping in places where I still can't get my
big toe into an XL
exercise -- for some reason that really gets me
going on many levels
good luck!

Someone came to me at work with a picture of me at 396 lbs. I'm currently
189. Looking at that picture first set a panic off inside me and it was
great motivational material.

I am in the same boat. I started at 260 got down to 153 crept back up to
160 now it seems like I play with loosing 2 lbs. and then gain them right
back. I am getting all my protien and water plus I walk 2 to 4 miles a
day. I have added walking hills to change up my regimen. But if you find
motivation clue us all in. Congrats to every one of you on your losses.
God Bless.

Okay Debby, how's this? (1) If you lose 25 more pounds, I'll send Ed
McMahon to your house with a giant check. (2) If you lose 25 pounds, I'll
introduce you to Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, and Antonio Banderas. (3) If you
lose 25 more pounds, I'll get the planet Venus renamed to "Debby"
in your honor. (4) Uh, well, that's about all I can do on such short
notice. All in fun. Good luck to you, Kevin

Debby no clue to what you are eating, getting in enough water, eating often
enough, how many calories in a day, are you exercising? Go back to basics
if you have drifted away from them-small, frequent, mostly protein based
meals, tons of water, regular heart pumping cardio exercising, and lo or no
snacking/carbs/sugars. That outta do it. Maybe adopting a motto would
help. I use Nike's "Just do it" and have it taped to the
treadmill. I'm basically lazy so when i get on the treadmill, I like to
negotiate with myself. "I'm tired, so I'll only climb at level 6 for
10 minutes instead of 20". The motto is there to save me from my evil
self. JUST DO IT. No excuses. Get it?

Debbie, me too. I was thinking about this today too. I will be 13 mos
next week and I am down 118lbs to 187, I need to lose another 37lbs for my
personal goal. I am happy where I am but didn't have this surgery to be
187 lbs. I did it and rearranged my insides and changed my life to be
normal and normal to me is 150ish. If a yr ago, you told me I would lose
100lbs, I would have been happy with that, but, when you get so close, it
feels so far.
I think everyday that I have let time slip away from me. My surgery was
relatively easy and maybe I took it too easy. Mind you, I worked out HARD,
for 6 straight mos, I was up at 6 am and at the gym everyday, 5 days a
week. I know don't work out as hard, but, i walk to and form work
everyday, thats 5 miles. I sooooo want that last 37lbs off, 25 really
would make me happy! I even joined Jenny Craig 3 wks ago and did it for a
week, I lost the 5-7lbs I had regained, but, was constantly hungry b/c of
all the carbs and lack or protein. As much as its a cliche, PROTEIN
PROTIEN PROTEIN! I need to get back to that and step up the strenght
trainging, lean muscle mass, building it up. Ok, I am done preaching to
myself or trying to convince myself, feel free to email me if you want and
let me know how it goes for you.
