32 lbs in 6 weeks is awesome. I was down about the same at 6 weeks, maybe even less. I lost 22 lbs the first month. The strange part is I started at 442 and a BMI of 65.3, so I thought I would lose more at first. However, 6-1/2 months later I am down 150 lbs. So starting at something reasonable and your body keeping up at a reasonable pace will give huge results. I also had some weeks here or there that I lost 2 lbs, so don't sweat it. You are doing everything right and it will come. sit back and enjoy the weightloss ride, as it will happen as long as you do your part, which you are.

Well, you're "only" down 32 lbs, because you are ONLY 6 weeks out. Geesh. How much weight did you expect to loose in 6 weeks? That is a fabulous amount. I'm now going to give you the lecture that I give everyone who has the same mentality. Are you ready? Here it goes. It DOES NOT matter how much weight you loose from week to week. You are going to have weeks where you loose nothing. What matters is how much you loose each month. So, STOP (right now- I mean it!) weighing yourself all the time. You are setting yourself up for failure and disappointment and major stress. WEIGH ONLY ONCE A MONTH. For example- It doesn't matter if you loose 20 lbs one week, then loose nothing for the next three. You have STILL lost 20 lbs in one month. That is the end result. Get it? Now, having said that...Congrats on your GREAT success to date and happy losing in the future.

Hi Stacy! I had surgery the same date as you! I am down about 34lbs. I also have worries about rate of weight loss...but I think we're doing ok. I try not to get on the scale too often as hard as that is. Hope that helps! Keep up the good work!

I am 7 weeks post op. I started out at 320. Today I had my check-up and am down 33 lbs. I told the doctor and the nutritionist that I am upset about loosing so slowly. They said taht I am doing fabulously. I am down 18% and the average at 6 weeks is 10 - 15 % weight loss. Now I feel much beter. So you are doing grat too. Hope this helps.

Stacy, I am 6 weeks out too! I started at 250 and I am down exactly 32 lbs. too! I also do Curves 5 days a week and eat mostly all protein. I can't do the shakes, they disgust me. I think we are doing great! Only weigh yourself once a wek and chill out. We have lost almost a lb. a day. What other diet have you tried that has done that for us EVER?
