Question:
4 Weeks Post Op: When does the abdomen swelling go down

I'm nearly four weeks post-op and my belly is still swollen, about when does the abdomin strink? I have never had such a big belly and I am just wondering if the swelling goes away or could there be another problem causing the swelling to stay.    — Rosa F. (posted on August 4, 2003)

Around 3 1/2 weeks mine started going down and stayed pretty regular. I did notice that last week it seems a little puffy but that may be a hormonal thing! I will be 6 weeks out on Weds! Give it some time but if you are having discomfort don't hesitate to call your Doctor!

I was still swollen at 5 weeks but I'm 7 weeks now and back to normal.Just minus 40 pounds. =)
