Oh, I feel your pain! It get better, lots better, real soon! Remember
that you've had major surgery, and your body needs some time to heal. It's
using all its energy to heal, so there's nothing left for much else. As
you heal, that will get lots better. It took me until at least eight weeks
out before I had any energy at all. Do your very best to get as much
protein and liquids in as possible (lethargy can be a sign of dehydration);
rest as much as possible, and RELAX. You're going to feel so much better
real soon.

Hi, Stacy-
I'm 15 weeks post-op, and I was really wiped out for the first few weeks
after surgery. It took about 6 weeks before I found my energy, but it came
back with a vengeance--I feel better than I have in years! Give it a
little more time. You just had major surgery, so your body needs all its
energy for healing right now. You'll feel better soon.
Hang in there!

Just a comment, Stacy...if you're ingesting a B12 pill, you're not getting
any benefit from it. You need the sublinguals, or shots. This may help
you with your energy problem. The place where you absorb B12 is the
duodenum, which has been bypassed. That's why you need to do the
sublinguals. And don't forget your calcium...we need 1500 mgs. a day of
calcium citrate. Hugs, Joy

I know how you feel, I was once where you are. It took me till about week
6 to start regaining my energy. Now I have so much I don't know what to do
with it all (I'm 2+ months out). Just hang in there. Keep trying to get
all your water and protein in. I know it's hard. It took me a while to
get it all in, too. Best of luck! You'll get there. :)

It's important to give yourself time to heal. Don't push it. Relax and
let nature take it's course. It does get better and the energy returns
with abound. Take your vitamins. This is EXTREMELY important to your good
health.

hey, I had my surgery on 7-14,I could have layed on the couch all day but
my surgeon gave me very little advise .drink water, eat only liquids and
move. Any type of movement from going to mail box or going up the stairs
just move.that will make you feel better faster even when you dont want to
just move . even if it is to brush your teeth 10 times a day MOVE. hope
everyday goes better than the day before. take care and speedy recovery.

Hi! I am 5 weeks out, and just started feeling better. I walk 2 miles per
day now, and have been drinking 75-90 ounces of water per day now. THAT
HELPS ALOT. Still can't get all my protein in, but better each day. You
should start feeling better soon. Walk, walk, walk. Drink and drink!!! Take
care, Kathy
