please help me to understand where does the calories come from?

Protein has 4 cals per gram.

The Nectar drink contains 23g of protein (probably 22.5 based on its calorie count of 90) and there are 4 calories per gram of protein. So 22.5 times 4 equals 90. If you can get all of your calories from protein in a protein drink, I'd say that it's pretty darn good *G*...JR
