Question:
Elevated bilirubin in urine

Been having bladder pain and dark urine. The first test three weeks ago showed high blood. The second test done three days ago showed no blood but it did show signs of bilirubin. My PCP says that there might be a problem with my liver. I will be repeating this test in three days and taking a blood test as well. Has anyone else encountered this problem?    — Dale G. i had this problem when i was pre-op wls . i had just had my gall bladder out (lap)(about 3 years ago) and when they removed it, somehow the gall stones fell out and were lost in my body. they were kind of fine like big pieces of sand- and they lodged themselves in my liver duct. for a week i became very very sick, until i was hospitalized and they could figure out what the heck was wrong with me. long story short- i had all your symptoms. urine was orange, and all my test had high bilirubin and some other high marks, i forget now. anyways, it is a very important and serious! you need to get it fixed, what ever your problem is... good luck. keep me posted!
