Question:
Is Spondylolysis considered a obesity related disease ( joint bearing)?
I have a history of having spondylolysis and treated for herniated lumber disc...is this considered a co-morbities diease? Jointing bearing? — [Deactivated Member] (posted on June 23, 2003)

Hi Melissa, I also suffer from spondylosis. Am 1 1/2 years post-op. This
condition was listed as one of my co-morbidities, but I am not sure how
much it may have swayed the final decision. I have lost 110lbs, but still
suffer from the spondylosis. The weight loss really didn't offer that much
relief to my lower back. I have just begun chiropratic care for this
because my legs and feet were starting to get numb after walking. My PCP
sent me to an orthopedist who only wanted to give a cortizone injection. I
don't feel this is a solution, only a temporary fix. Good luck to you,
Dana
