Question:
Is divided the same as transected?

That depends on what your doctor means by divided. If it is divided by staples, then no that is not transected. If it is completely seperated, forming 2 stomachs then that is transected. That is a big difference and you need to check with your surgeon to make sure that he performs the surgery the way you want.
