Question:

I know that sounds odd, but 2 years ago I lost 30 pounds and my right leg had a weird "dent" in it. The best way I can describe it: it's as if someone took a staple gun to the middle of their thigh and stapled the skin to the bone, with the fat still there on either side of the deep impression. I can't come up with any other analogy. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this, and if it went away as you lost more weight. — sweetmana (posted on May 17, 2003)

I've had the opposite occur. On my stomach (the panni), I have a bumb of
fat that sticks out beyond the rest of the stomach. Looks weird as can be,
and it's mushy fat. Weird. Hasn't went away yet. Hope yours does!

Ruth, have you had that checked out to make sure it's not a hernia? Take
care.

Not sure but if you have ever worked somewhere that you were constantly
leaning on something like a counter or table in that area of your leg you
could have that dent from that. I used to work at a grocer store and after
a few months of working there I had a dent in my leg from leaning against
the counter to ring up groceries. After about 2 years the dent finally went
away. Not sure if this is the same situation for you but this was my
experiance with the dent in the leg. You could even see mine through my
clothes it was so deep but never caused me any problems.

Honey, thta's normal! it's a natural division where your muscles part in
your leg. I am finding hollows and bones all over whetre I never knew I had
them. You might check with your doc to be sure, but as the fat goes, all
sorts of unusual hollows and bumps show up.
Wishing you even more surprising hollows in the future!
