Question:
Documentation that Obesity is a disease to get tt approved

I just received my denial letter from UHC on my panniculectomy and brachioplasty. I'm going to appeal, but need to find a site/documentation that proves obesity is a disease (which caused my huge pannis) and that is reconstructive and not cosmetic. Anyone able to help with this information or appeal letter? I do not have rashes or hernia...only large hanging pannis.    — missesrita (posted on April 29, 2003)
