Question:
How Long Post Op should I wait before having a glass of wine?

I was 3 months post-op and had a glass of champagne at an anniversary party. The alcohol gets to you much quicker than before-you become a cheap date!

Jeffrey, I was about 4 months post-op before I drank wine. Some surgeons recommend 6 months to a year. Guess it depends on how you and your surgeon feel. We just have to be careful b/c our stomachs don't process it like they did before, and we also get drunk alot quicker! so just be careful. Goodluck to you :-)

Well, I just had a glass of wine the other day and Iam about two months postop. Just be careful! After that one glass I was very tipsy. You absorb alcohol differently now than when you were preop. Good Luck!

I'm 3 and a half months post-op and I had wine this last weekend (I first tried it at about 2 and a half months post). I'm done after one glass lol - I'm a cheap date now:)
