Question:
I know this surgery limits the amount you can eat, but......
I am 2 months post op and still cannot hold down as much as other people in my same situation. 3 weeks ago, I had some scar tissue blockage that was resolved with an EGD...now, I can eat, but only a few bites...for example...2 bites of tiny pieces of chicken, a bite or two of potatos...that's it....and even then...i can feel it and if I move around too much or even burp, it comes back up....anyone else have this same problem? Shouldn't I be able to eat more than this??? Thanks in advance for your help!!! — Amy S. (posted on March 16, 2003)

I think you need to look at it as starting over after you had the EGD to
open things up. Things are still sensitive and healing because they had to
be messed with a 2nd time. What does your surgeon say? He knows best what
your situation is. Good Luck! I hope things improve soon.

I had the same problem as you up until about six months out. My surgeon
said that everyone heals at different rates. Suddenly, at seven months, I
could eat everything.
