Question:
How To Keep Sane While Waiting on Insurance?

I have been keeping in touch with my insurance co. (Horizon BCBS of New Jersey} the first time I spoke with them no letter recieved yet. I talked to Dr. Rodriguez's nurse Judy. She faxed it to them even though the Dr. office has a green slip signed by bcbs on the 7th..This is on the 20th. The next time I called ins. I was told letter was recieved on the 10th of feb. I called back wensday the 5th of march and was told to call on Friday they were almost finished and should have an answer for me. Called bright and early this morning. The lady I spoke with told me it would be TWO MORE WEEKS! WHAT!! this bothered me all day until I just had to call back and quiz them on this little problem.. I was told by Mrs. Hurt (a terrific Lady who can get answers)To call her back MOnday she would give this to her supervisor and they would have an answer on Monday. So what I am really rattling on about is how do you not just turn into a total basket case?    — Kelly S. (posted on March 7, 2003)

I know exactly where your comming from. I have called the insurance co. at least 2 times a week and they either need more info or call back next week or what ever, they have had my paperwork since Dec.24 '02 and I am getting so distressed over all this too, I know it takes time, but this is crazy and it is making me a basket case too. Hopefully we both will get our approvals SOON Gooe Luck :0)

I had human resources from work call them and amazingly, they had an answer then. :)

Unfortunately, I'm in the same boat you are. If you figure out a way to keep it together while waiting, PLEASE POST IT so I can calm down as well. Kimberly
