Question:
Any online support groups other than OA?
I want to find an online forum to turn to when I have a hard time with cravings. I know there is OA, but have a hard time with some of their philosophies (it seems that they assume that everyone's higher power is the Christian god). If you have done online OA and found it to be different, please let me know -- I'd love to hear. Are there any other online support groups? I'd really like a place where I can log on and "listen" and "talk" with others about cravings and food addiction issues. Not to knock this site -- it's very helpful, but necessarily limited to Q&A due to the sheer number of members. — [Deactivated Member] (posted on March 7, 2003)

Inga...you might try a search with [email protected]. The Obesity support
groups are mostly local or specified to a certain category...ie,
Lightweights. If you can't find it, do a search for OSSG (obesity surgery
support groups). Good luck!!! =)

Try spotlighthealth.com. I prefer this site the most, but that's a pretty
good one, too. Good luck!!

You might try Graduates if you're coming up on 1 yr post-op. We address
that issue a lot.
Grads is for people one or more years out to POST. Anyone can lurk and I
highly recommend it.
