I'm sure getting your blood tested in the first step.. but what else are you eating? I would think at 9months, you should be getting even a bit more protein. I eat between 900-1200 calories a day and about 50+ percent of that is protein.. usually between 85-110 gms... I would think that might help with energy. Also, do you exercise? That might also help... those are my NON professional ideas.. oh.. enough water too.. do you get that? Good luck.. I hope its nothing more than a phase

I agree - getting your bloodwork done is important, but it is just as important to get a copy for yourself so you can compare your levels. You doc may be right, you levels may be "fine" or in range, but they could still be falling, they just haven't fallen below normal...yet. Get copies of all your labs, from pre-op til now. Do a comparison of each level. Point out to your doc any that haven fallen on a consistant basis. Most docs don't do this, they look at the most recent and proclaim your levels to be "fine". Also, I know there are many people here and most surgeons that tell us to get our protein fom food, but just because you are getting 64 oz, per day doesn't mean you are absorbing that much. Our surgeries are designed to malabsorb most nutrients, that is what we paid our docs for. You may want to try a protein supplement, our bodies will not have to digest it, but can start absorbing it right away. Still won't get 100% absorbtion, even from a supplement, but you will get more than from the food. Also, it may take more than one week for the b-12 to kick in. Some report an instant energy increase, but some don't - just depends on the person. Good luck, I hope you start feeling better soon.
