Poor Baby..I'm just teasing you. When was the last time you lost that much weight in such a short time?? You are doing great. Don't worry about it. Sounds to me like if you keep doing what you have been you will be fine. My surgeon says an average of 1/2 lb per day is on target for national averages for wls..That says you are above average. What better can you ask for?? Keep up the good work. Open RNY 8/12/02 down 80 lbs.....

That's great! I know that at times it seems like it's not fast enough, but you are doing great!! I am out a little over 5 months and down 95 lbs., but it has slowed down quite a bit now. Before you know it you'll be down 100 lbs and wonder why you ever worried. I have to remind myself that it took me 20 years of yo-yo dieting to end up at 283, I need to be patient while it comes off, because if you follow your plan, believe me.. it WILL come off! You are doing great!

Amber, I was down only 34lbs at 2 mos, and I am now down 86lbs at 5 mos, I have no idea where you started as it isn't on your profile....HOWEVER, you aren't eating enough. Flat out, no questions asked, you're body is in starvation if you are only eating 350 calories per day!

When is the last time you lost 42 pounds in two months? You're doing great! I am 6 months out and have lost 90 pounds...so you've lost half of what I have it just two months!!! Don't be so hard on yourself!!!

I agree with the other poster... you need to get more than 350 calories a day! I was doing that too for the first couple of months after surgery and my Dr yelled at me everytime I saw him for doing that. He said that if I absolutely couldn't EAT enough to get my calories then I had to DRINK it. He made me drink a slim fast shake on top of whatever else I ate for meals and snacks, everyday until I managed to get my solid calories closer to 800 (his ideal caloric intake - spread out over 6 small meals/snacks). Your body is probably in 'starvation mode' and that could be why you are not loosing faster. Even then, 42.5 pounds in 2 months is outstanding and don't get dicouraged by thinking you are loosing too slow. Just get a few more calories in and you should see the scale move a little faster. Good Luck!
