Question:
I have noticed that people were saying
there bypass was 100- 150 cm. I read my surgical report and it says that i have a proximal gastric pouch 20 - 30 cc. Does any one know what this means? I am confused.. Thanks for the help. Sharon S. — Sharon S. (posted on January 12, 2003)

From what my doctor says, that means that they bypassed probably 100 cm of
intestine and your pouch is 20 -30 cc which is 4 - 6 teaspoons.

Hithere...the 150-150cm, refers to the length of intestines that were
bypassed. The size of your pouch is measured in "CC"s. I
beleive a 30cc pouch will hold approximately 2 ounces of food. A lot of
docs make a 15cc pouch. I have a 30cc pouch, but have 180cm bypassed, so
I've had pretty good success. If you want to know what kength of
intestines were bypassed, ask your doc!
