First, congratulations on your weight loss. You have done great. I am
thirteen months post-op and have accepted that I will never get to my ideal
weight (according to the charts). My surgeon has told me that I don't need
to lose that much. I have lost 160 and need to lose another 40 also. But
I have given up on that and am pleased with where I am. I am planning ;a
tummy tuck if the insurance approves and that will take care of some of the
excess.
I really don't think you will qualify for a revision if you are only 40
pounds from goal. Is the goal yours or your doctor's? And is it based on
the bmi charts? You might need to talk with your surgeon about what a
realiztic goal is. Also, you could still be losing, although very slowly,
for some time to come. I haven't lost any weight in 4 months but all of a
sudden recently, I dropped a lot of inches.
Good luck.

I'm not sure if a revision would be approved if you only have 40 more
pounds to lose. Have you tried upping your water and your protein,
changing your exercise, and eliminating or greatly reducing carbs and
sugars for a week? I just did that and lost the 3 pounds I had gained over
the holidays. Sometimes just shaking up the routine is what is needed as
well as going back to the basics.
