Question:
4 ounces at once!
I ate 4 ounces of yogurt for breakfast this morning. I am 3 months post op from open RNY. I usually can only eat 2 ounces at a sitting, and get too full to continue. I actually dont even measure my food usually, and just stop when I feel full and satisfied, but this yogurt came pre measured...so I know how much I ate. And, I probably could have eaten more. I didn't even feel full yet. Should I worry about this? Is it normal to eat this much? Thanks! (open RNY 7/23/02 -72 lbs) — Shawnie S. (posted on October 21, 2002)

Yogurt is pureed consistency and you can eat more of that than more demse
foods..no problem.

You had your surgery one day after I had mine and I can also consume a 4
oz. container of yogurt on MOST days. It depends on the day. You may
easily find tomorrow that you can't even get half down. I wouldn't worry
about it. Now if you find you can eat an 8 ounce steak - THEN you should
worry lol

I am two and a half months post-op and I can eat a 6 oz yogurt in one
sitting (well, one long 30 minute sitting). It just makes me feel full
(and a little backed up if you know what I mean.) I don't think 4 oz is
too much at all - especially not for something semi-liquid like yogurt.

I had my surgery just a day before you. I don't really eat alot of yogurt
but I find that the softer and more liquid the foods the more I can eat.I
do try to measure things, but not always possible. I ate almost 8 ounces
of canned chicken noodle soup before I was full. But if I try to eat 3
ounces of chicken I can't. I get full very fast. I think it just depends
on what the foods are. I do normally eat about 3-4 ounces per meal. Lap
