Hi. If you mean 1/2 to 3/4 of a small plate of food that seems like an ok
amount. If you are still on soft foods you will be able to eat more than
when you get to solid foods. When I was on soft foods I could eat an 8 oz
yogurt or 8 ounces of soup. I have been on solids for several months and I
can eat 4-6 ounces at a sitting depending on what I am having. I wouldnt
only eat those processed packaged foods if I were you. I think they are ok
for sometimes but they do seem to have many simple carbs in them and not
much protein.

I agree with Mary. When I was on soft foods, it seemed like I could eat a
ton. Now that I am on regular foods, I can't eat as much. And it also
depends on what I am eating. If it is something that is soft like steamed
veggies or something, I can eat more than if I were eating chicken or some
meat. I think you are doing fine. If you are really concerned, talk to your
surgeon about it, but you should be fine!
