Question:
Questions about Dr. O'Malley's RNY
I was wondering if any patients of Dr. O'Malley in Rochester, NY, could tell me what size of pouch he creates in his RNY? I know that he bypasses 150cm of intestine, and transects the stomach... but I would like to know how many ounces or cc's the stomach is made to hold. Thanks! :) — Patricia E. Good luck in finding out! He's a great surgeon, but I've always felt very
much like an "intruder or a time taker" by his office whenever
I've had any questions. Shoot, until your question, I did'nt even know he
transected the stomach!
I did find out that he bypassed 157 cm of the intestine but that is all I
know. He may have giving me all this info on my consult, but I was hit with
so much info at one time I could'nt take it all in. And his office always
acted like my calls were NOT welcome so I just plain gave up and don't call
or go back unless for a yearly visit. I know his office is busy, but so is
every other doctors office! And no others ones make me feel that way. His
is the only one. But I've been very happy with his surgical abilities! So
that is what matters ultimately. But good luck with finding your answers. I
too would like to know.
