Question:
Has anyone experienced No Energy before going in for surgery?
I am scheduled for surgery on 10/2/02, and right now all my energy is gone, i have been drinking water and moving around as much as possible, but this morning i woke up and i just have no energy. Has anyone else experienced this prior to going in for surgery? — LoyAnn S. (posted on October 2, 2002)

could it possibly be stress related, surgery is very stressful, i had no
energy before surgery but i think it was becouse i was so heavy, but if i
get stressed out even now i lose energy just seems to be my bodys reaction
to stress, but you may be getting a bug or somthing to, so hang in there.

I have had the same problem. I started taking my B-12 and multi vit and I
was really suprised at the difference it made. Terri

Hi LoyAnn, The thought of what is about to take place can place a lot of
stress on your body. Your thinking about surgery, thinking about the what
if's the how to's the how many's. Your mind is psyching yourself up for
this major event that is about to happen, and your probably just
emotionally drained, which can make the littlest amount of movement , seem
like you've been running a marothon. Your mind being anxious can make you
just as exhausted as any physical activity. You need to calm your mind,
and relax, don't overdo anything, if you need to rest, then rest. You will
be fine.
