Question:
anyone in MA receive disability post-op?

I do not have short term disability and am concerned about loss of income in my post-op period. Has anyone in Mass. ever heard of state-funded disability pay? How do I apply? Thanks.    — RedHeadBeauty (posted on October 2, 2002)

Unfortunately, MA does not have state mandated disability coverage. The only states that do are RI, NJ, NY, CA and HI. Do you work in MA or do you happen to work in RI? If you WORK in RI and pay RI state tax, then you could possibly qualify for RI state disability.
