Question:
Neck Pain - Too Chesty & now showing up w/ wt. loss?????
OK Ladies. Did any of you have trouble as you lost weight with neck aches & strain in upper shoulders. I am chesty at a D - DD and am wondering if now that I am carrying my weight differently due to abdominoplasty, lipo, and weight loss if it could be a problem with the weight in my chest that I carry? Your wisdom from experience would be helpful. — Shelly S. (posted on August 22, 2002)

i am sitting here now as i read this in severe pain between my shoulder
blades..my dr says it is from the weight of my breasts..yes they have gone
with weight loss..but i still wear between a d and dd..i always have..but
as you will notice with weight loss..the smaller the measurement around
becomes..the smaller the "d" also becomes..i never realized this
before..anyway..back on the subject..it could very well be your problem
also...Dr told me a breast reduction would help however i am not too keen
on another surgery..especially not one there

Hi...I think you're on the right track..I just finished 3 weeks of physical
therapy prescribed by my orthopedist for my upper back due to the weight of
my breasts (Before surgery, I wore a 46II, now wearing a 38F). As much
pain as I'm in, unfortunately for me, the insurance company will not even
consider looking at my case until I weigh 130lbs (weight criteria for my
height of 5'4, I'm at 164 now, down from 316). My back hurts constantly,
and the exercises and stretches I learned in PT only help minimize the
pain, it never goes away. Advice I got from my physical therapist - don't
sleep on your sides, no hiking shoulders, and try to build upper body
strength to help support "the girls"...good luck..Denise
