Question:
Can I get improved?

My BMI is around 37 and I have several co-morbids including high blood pressure, sleep problems, achy joints, and GERD. I know these will help will approval of my insurance, but is inability to do my job any help in this area? I am a detective with a sheriff's office and they are getting ready to make us do physical testing ... I know that there is no way I can pass..I can barely walk up the stairs without getting winded...I read on the web somewhere about all the qualifications for this surgery and it said something about "inability to perform job or employment activities..." any adivice?? Amy, from your post, it looks as though you have an A-Number 1-terrific reason for the surgery, and you may have a much easier time getting insurance approval than you think. I'm pullin' for ya! Margie B
