At 3 months I was able to eat very little. I used a protein supplement 2x a
day to be sure to get anywhere near close to enough. Breakfast was a
scrambled egg or eggbeaters sometimes with cheese on it , I took a hard
boiled egg to work with me for mid morning and lunch was a little
microwaveable container of chili or refried beans with cottage cheese all
in all about a half cup of food for lunch. Dinner was usually some kind of
soup. I did well with very wet foods . I had nausea a lot maybe about 5
months it eased up. Just take it slow . Some people heal faster than others
some of us are beautiful delicate sweet flowers and must treat ourselves
accordingly. You are one of the flowers!

I am 4 1/2 months out and I've been eating the same for over a month or so
now. I eat 6 times a day. 4 times at work and 2 times at home. I take 3 fat
free yogurts and either a Motts Fruitsations cup or a small can of lite
fruit cocktail to work with me each day. I come home and have a light
supper of either soups, cheese slice on crackers, refried beans &
Cheese, cottage cheese blended with pineapple or peaches, baked potato, fat
free philly on crackers, 5-6 small shrimp in cocktail sauce, rolled up
slices of deli ham, half a Lean Cuisine Mac & Cheese or Alfredo dinner
(they are the only 2 I can eat). for my evening snack I eat some
cantalope, lite fruit cocktail, lite peaches, fresh strawberries, or
popsicles.

I just read Rose's post and I have to say I am jealous that she could eat
eggs. I still can't eat egg. I've used up a dozen eggs trying to
poach, scramble, boil them. I used to love eggs & toasts. So far I can
eat crispy toasts. I just had to add this, Becky!

Paula,
You need to let your surgeon know as soon as possible that
you are not able to eat as you should. You could have a
stricture which can be easily corrected.

I am six months out and I had a hard time eating until last month. Now I
can eat meat and salads. I didsn't stress too much about it. I just ate a
lot of cheese and creamy soups and tried to introduce the other foods about
once a week until it was comfortable to eat them.
