Question:
Too easy? Got approval for surgeon consult in 5 days.......

then, i called surgeon and got appt in three weeks. Is this any indication as to how fast my HMO will actually aprove the procedure? I'm pretty shocked.....    — Debby M. (posted on April 25, 2002)

Hi! Like you, I received approval for both the consult AND surgery right away. I just knew that when I was approved for surgery the ball would start rolling. Was I ever wrong! After approval, I merely stopped moving forward for awhile. Don't worry though! Everything does start moving again... Each insurance company is different and so is each doctor's office. While some people find the approval process the hardest, I am finding the waiting time for surgery to be the most difficult. Just keep remembering that surgery WILL take place. Good luck!
