Question:
I'm supposed to drink 50oz. of water a day and I have not been doing this.
I have a hard time getting all this in, plus I have to wait before and after I eat to drink which doesn't give me enough time to get it all in. Any suggestions? Thanks — Marybeth O. (posted on April 17, 2002)

I am newly post op as well and I have found that I do much better by
combining my protein with the water. I found three protein supplements
that I really enjoy, and I mix them with 16 oz. of water each time. I find
that by using a double scoop of the preferred flavor with each 16 oz.of
water, I get a lot of protein and water fast. I drink two or three of these
"shakes" throughout the day and I have easily met the protein
goal. Then I have only one bottle of water to drink. It has made it so
much easier for me. Something else I have done is drink that sugar free
hot cocoa and it gives me more of my daily required water. Here's to you.
Best wishes.

I drink at least 16 oz a day by way of steamed skim milk with espresso
added! Then a mixture of some kind of juice mixed 1/2 and 1/2 with water
for another 8 oz or so, then at least 2 of the small cans of V8, which are
5.5 oz each, thats 35 oz right there, then I drink an EAS Advantedge
protein drink (premixed at Walgreens) which is 11 oz and 15 grams of
protein, bringin it to 46 ounces! Then I only have to drink a small amount
of water or whatever to bring it up to whats required! Try some different
things, like SF TANG, mix Koolaid with Splenda, etc... I know its hard but
Trust me, it gets much easier! Love Donna
