Question:
How do I know if I have leak in my staple line?

I'm about to have surgery for an SLD. I don't know if the symptoms are the same for everyone, but I stopped losing even though I was following all the rules. At first I thought it was just a plateau but then I began to be hungry ALLLLLLL the time. I couldn't stay full for the life of me. Then, I started to actually gain weight back. I called my doctor's office crying and they had me get an upper GI. He couldn't tell conclusively from that so he did an endoscopy. Sure enough, there was a great big opening in the staple line. I could even see it myself. I'm having it fixed on April 8 so wish me luck.
