Question:
Why do my burps get stuck and not come out?

Hi everyone, its me again. I'm 3 months postop and my burps get stuck. It gives me some pain. I have to actually stick my finger down my throat to get them out. I never know if its vomit or just burp. Does anyone know why the burps don't come out on their own. It's driving me nuts. Thanks    — Melissa S. (posted on March 6, 2002)

That happened to me in the beginning too. I was irritated cause I wanted a nice big burp and I'd get a little one or it would get stuck. It goes away. I can't remember when it stopped but it did. Now I burp like normal again :-). Good luck and God Bless!

When that happens have you tried jumping up and down or walking up and down a flight of stairs or gently patting your chest, like you are burping a baby? All of those things help me get it up!
