Yes, I have these, too. Yes, I think it's from the thighs rubbing together
and getting too warm. They are actually a form of acne according to my
dermatologist. His remedy? "LOSE WEIGHT!" Since my WLS, I have
lost 150 lbs. and no longer have a problem with this. There is nothing you
can do about past scaring except getting a thigh lift and asking your
plastic surgeon to be sure to try and hide the scared areas. Hope the
info. helps.

I have them, too. I think the bumps are probably pimples from clogged skin
pores from all the sweating. When I've lost weight in the past, they've
decreased and the area in general got lighter.

I went to a doctor concerning these. I get them ALL over my body. Well,
genital area, arm pits, under my breasts, in the crook of my arms. They are
extremely painful and sometimes if they're really close to the top layer of
skin they'll rupture and ooze a nasty and unsightly puss. The dr said it
was an infection of the sweat glands and nothing can prevent it or make it
less painful. She put me on 30 days of antibiotics which did absolutely
nothing. I've found that when they rupture they tend to not heal up too
quickly so I cover them with these nice bandaids from nextcare that are
waterproof and cover the wound nicely so they don't leak onto my clothes.
As for helping with pain I just take advil and think fondly on what life
after surgery will be like once I've lost the weight and there is less of
my to get all sweaty and funky than there was before. I've tried showering
multiple times a day to prevert any possible infection and it doesn't help
either. It's a curse of overweight people I was told. But oddly my sister
doesn't get them and she's heavier than me. Life sucks that way I guess ;)
There is a technical name for this condition but it passed through one ear
and out the other when it was told to me :)

I get them and read somewhere that they were a side affect from my PCOS. I
do not have all the technical jargon at hand or I'd post it. Even thinner,
I will occaisionally get one, depending on my period etc. Tight clothes
are not the culprit, neither is anything else other than my body produces
them. They are NOT an STD (we've had this question before in the database
somewhere- but it is so hard to find in just a one word search)- I have had
them on my inner thighs and all around the public area. I have never
expirienced them anywhere else, so it could be that we who are giving you
replies are all expiriencing different stuff... any how, that is my
expirience (and since you didn't mention underarms, I thought I'd reply)
you can read about PCOS over at http://www.pcosupport.org/ or visit
www.soulcysters.com - you'll find others who have these wonderful massive
"pimples" as well. My only relief is to anililate them once I
find them, if I "let them run their course" it is far MORE
painful. Usually the culprit is an ingrown hair.

Folliculitis, perhaps? Look it up and see if your symptoms match... :-)
